Nosotros always get the flu shot. This babe will and our 3yo also. Never have had a reaction to anything.
Cons-a little sore arm for a few days, immune system might tiresome down.
Pros-coverage from certain influenza strains/limit the risk of being hospitalized/death
I had a coworker who got influenza final winter. He was out of piece of work for 2 weeks. He was a big anti-flu vaccine person. Nosotros always argued over the flu shot, he thought it was a government conspiracy. He told me he will be getting the flu shot every year now because he said he thought he was going to die. His Dr too recommended it.
We aren't. My husband has to because of his job and e'er gets a dissimilar strand of influenza then the vaccine is for so nosotros aren't.

Babies die from the influenza. I couldn't imagine allowing that risk myself. I am a nurse and have never missed a flu shot, don't plan to let my baby either.
Babies and the elderly are at a higher risk of serious injury and death from the influenza (not like when nosotros get it and but feel awful for a few days!). Definitely worth the discomfort of a shot.
Just did the first shot with our son (he gets one/2 a dose at present and other 1/2 in a month). For us personally the pros far outweigh the cons. Especially since the influenza can be fatal for some infants. He was fine and had no symptoms subsequently! Nosotros travel a lot, have lots of play dates with other kids, and my husband is a doctor who regularly sees flu patients so we didn't want to take a chance exposure.

Yea , I don't rely on CDC for annihilation they are bunch liars ! I'yard not going to sit down here and write yous pages of why CDC are liars y'all tin can do some research yourself . But know this that people that used to work at CDC have came out with proofs .

I always had the flu shot, and I am planning to give it to my baby, information technology will injure for a while but he will immune.
Last year I turned downwards the flu shot for my ii-year-old (she was already getting other shots and then I just felt bad calculation another.) That wintertime the poor little thing got the influenza--she had a pretty good fever and her legs got so achy she wanted me to carry her around instead of walking. I felt so bad. I would rather her deal with an actress needle poke than go through that over again.
Thanks for all the info everyone. As a kid my mom always made my sisters and I get the flu shot. Equally an adult, I've never gotten the shot. I'm not against it or anything but never really thought about it. My husband has never had the flu shot. Neither of united states accept ever had the influenza. I just want to make certain I make the correct decision for my baby boy.
